Greene Accuses Conservative Media of “Brainwashing” Americans

Marjorie Taylor Greene Slams Fox News, New York Post as 'Propaganda' Amid Israel-Iran War Debate

In a fiery interview on One America News (OAN), Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) launched a scathing critique against Republican-leaning outlets Fox News and the New York Post, labeling them as “propaganda news” for promoting U.S. involvement in the escalating Israel-Iran conflict.

“We have propaganda news on our side, just as the left does,” Greene told former Rep. Matt Gaetz. “The American people have been brainwashed into thinking foreign wars are necessary for our survival—that’s a lie.”

Greene, a vocal isolationist, dismissed both outlets as mouthpieces for “neocon network news,” a term often used to describe hawkish foreign policy advocates. Her comments come as bipartisan lawmakers debate whether the U.S. should intervene militarily amid rising Middle East tensions.

Tucker Carlson and the “America First” Divide

Greene also defended commentator Tucker Carlson after former President Donald Trump rebuked him for criticizing U.S. opposition to Iranian nuclear capabilities.

“Since leaving Fox News, Tucker’s influence has only grown,” Greene argued. “He unapologetically champions America First—putting our citizens before foreign wars. That’s not ‘kooky’; it’s what millions of voters demand.”

She echoed Carlson’s stance that endless foreign intervention drains U.S. resources, endangers lives, and threatens national sovereignty.

Massie’s War Powers Challenge

Meanwhile, Rep. Thomas Massie (R-KY) announced a bipartisan War Powers Resolution to block unauthorized U.S. engagement in the Israel-Iran conflict.

“This isn’t America’s war,” Massie stated. “If it were, Congress—not the President—must decide under the Constitution.” The bill, co-sponsored by progressive Rep. Ro Khanna (D-CA), underscores rare GOP dissent against Trump’s foreign policy legacy.

Trump’s “Real End” Remark

As tensions escalate, former President Trump dismissed calls for a ceasefire during the G-7 summit, hinting at a broader resolution: “We’re looking for a real end—not just a pause.”

Greene’s media broadside and Massie’s legislative push highlight deepening fractures within the GOP over America’s global role—a debate that could redefine conservative politics ahead of 2024.
